Really?

First off- Dammit I just spent over an HOUR creating my Greatest, most inspiring and honest story Ever.  Somehow I, being temporarily impossibly brilliant, was going to help re-ignite those Idealisticly naive yet powerfully loyal ever growing army of young people whose opinions hopes&needs are so often overlooked by a Govt that doesn't even TRY to engage & speak their language. They've been so  inspired by Bernie's words and his awkwardly endearing personality, a bit like the brilliant absent-minded professor type we all know and love. And more importantly Trust. Four years ago I also became uncharacteristically inspired by the unexpected support of  so many optimistic young ppl. Never underestimate those Idealistic (&often annoying Holier than Thou attitude) Social Justice Warriors. They're tireless in their faith, honest belief that they WILL succeed in their endeavor to make the world a better place for EVERYONE, they're nothing if not painstakingly inclusive in their vision of an ideal future. Democratic Socialism is the furthest thing from the oppressive fascist nightmare the MAGA hat wearing fearmongers are trying to convince you is  in our future. The racist, sexist, homophobic, hatefully divisive orange loudmouth Ape needs to be stopped before doing any more damage to our collective psyche.
It's almost too weird to be real- The long overdue happy outcome of Pres Obama's  election was the best news many people could hardly believe it finally happened. There was such a hope, a belief that anything was possible. That Good would defeat Evil every single time from now on we'd finally evolved & were surely on the path to evolutionary perfection, Lol. Those early first days seem impossibly Optimistic now, but people began to smile at complete strangers for no reason at all. Seemingly Overnight we felt a need to get to know our neighbors and develop friendships even  with people we had nothing in common with. Even an old pessimist like me felt a new solidarity bridging heretofore eternally separate deep seated ideologies. Sure its a happy oversimplified vision . Pollyanna's will to make sure our future descendants would be forever grateful for the Wonderful World they inherited.
